What Will I Learn?

We will introduce methods to perform systematic reviews and meta-analysis of clinical trials. We will cover how to formulate an answerable research question, define inclusion and exclusion criteria, search for the evidence, extract data, assess the risk of bias in clinical trials, and perform a meta-analysis. The course is made up of informal lectures, group work, and a computer practical and encompasses the production process of a systematic review from start (review question and protocol) to finish (reporting, dissemination, and critical appraisal). We strive to produce interactive, informative sessions that deliver the most up-to-date knowledge and methods from the field of systematic reviews and meta-analysis.
